Parkhurst NuVision 1st US Eye Clinic with Rapid COVID-19 Testing

Quidel has announced that it will be partnering with Parkhurst NuVision (PNV) to become the first ophthalmic clinic in the nation to offer on-site rapid COVID-19 testing for employees, patients, and other doctors in the San Antonio area.

“Throughout the pandemic, getting access to testing has been immensely vital, yet almost as difficult,” says PNV Clinic Director Dr. Roberto Saenz. “We knew that if we wanted testing to be more widely available, then we’d need to help lead the effort.” Shawn Mullen, head of Strategic Accounts was equally excited, “The ophthalmology and optometry community should be able to offer these tests to their staff and patients as well.”

Quidel has partnered with many medical practices across the country to increase access, and Parkhurst NuVision is the first ophthalmic facility to join the ranks. Quidel and Parkhurst NuVision are gearing up to roll out testing in the office setting, benefiting San Antonio eye doctors as well as patients and employees of Parkhurst NuVision.
