1.) Bring Someone With You During Your Appointment

Your eyes will be dilated, so please bring your significant other, family member or someone else who can drive and also serve as a second set of ears. We will provide you with A LOT of medical information. Having a trusted family member with you will also be able to make sure you get all your questions answered at your appointment. Since you will need a driver on the day of your cataract procedure as well, it’s always easier when choosing a date that fits into everyone’s calendar.

2.) Save Your PTO

You don’t have to take a lot of time off.  Most patients are back to work within a day or two. Save that PTO to go on vacation and put your new vision to the test! The majority of our cataract patients are back to their normal routine within a day or two. 

3.) You May Have More Than One Cataract Treatment Option: Choosing The Right Lens For You

There are several types of eye lenses (IOLs) for you & your doctor to choose from based on your overall eye health and vision goals. At your visit, we will go over what a cataract is, how you should prepare for surgery, your insurance benefits, and choosing the best lens for your unique needs and desires.
