An Open Letter to My Patients

I first realized I needed something to help me see clearly in the 9th grade. I couldn’t see the board in Biology class and that next week I was prescribed glasses. Glasses quickly got in the way when trying to read music on a music stand or running around a tennis court. Contact lenses became my new normal. I always imagined what it would be like to just be able to wake up and see. I was wearing my contact lenses for so many hours a day which led to contact lens related dryness and irritation. I remember my eye doctor trying many different types of contact lens brands to try and help the issue. I didn’t realize refractive surgery was an option for me until becoming a resident at Parkhurst NuVision and having a refractive consultation myself.

LASIK has helped my dryness and allowed me to wake up and immediately start my day without even thinking about putting something on my face or in my eyes to function. It has been a life changing experience and I want to share that with all my patients.

“I wish I would have done this sooner!” is what I routinely hear after refractive procedures. Being part of a world-class team has allowed me to help people everyday from all over and I am so blessed to be part of your journey in achieving your best natural vision.

With warm regards,

Dr. Alex Wiechmann

"Perfect experience! Top notch professionals every step of the way. I wore contacts/glasses for 33 years and didn’t realize the daily challenges of managing eye care until waking up with perfect vision a few hours after corrective eye surgery. I have a very active lifestyle and It feels amazing not to worry about corrective lenses anymore."

"I highly recommend Parkhurst NuVision for LASIK. I came to Parkhurst with terrible vision. I could not do anything without glasses or contacts in. I was hesitant initially but immediately felt at ease after consulting with the staff here. I booked the next available appointment and have been so happy with my decision. I’m now able to get up and go in the mornings without struggling with contacts. I’m able to work out and not worry about my contacts or glasses interfering. It’s one of the best decisions I’ve made for myself."
